Assigning and dispatching routes to drivers

Overview

After planning finalizes routes, Dispatch assigns those routes to drivers and sends them to the Maven Driver App. This article covers the core steps.

Assign a route to a driver

1. Open the Plan & Dispatch page.

2. Find the unassigned route in the route list.

3. Open the route details.

4. Set the Driver and Vehicle fields.

5. Save the route so it now shows with the driver and vehicle assigned.

Dispatch the route

1. From Plan & Dispatch, select one or more routes that are ready.

2. Use the Dispatch / Send to Warehouse / Close to Dispatch action (label may vary by setup).

3. Confirm each route status moves from a planning state (for example, Planned) to a dispatched or ready state.

Confirm driver can see the route

If a driver reports a missing route, check:

• Route status: not stuck in Planned only.

• Driver assignment: correct driver on the route.

• Service date and terminal: match the driver’s workday and location.

Fix any issues, then re‑dispatch as needed.
