Completing stop tasks

How to arrive, work, and complete stops in your trip workflow

Overview

Each stop in your route includes required and optional tasks. These tasks ensure accurate data capture for deliveries, pickups, and customer service. You must complete them before you can finish the stop.

 Stop Tasks 

  • Arrive Stop

  • Start/End Unloading or Loading

  • Scan barcodes or confirm items

  • Capture proof of delivery (signature, photos)

  • Add accessorials or exceptions

  • Complete Stop

Step‑by‑Step: Completing a Stop

  1. Arrive at the Location

    • When you enter the geofenced area, the app may automatically arrive you.

    • If this doesn’t happen and your company allows it:

      • Open the stop and tap Arrive.

  2. Review Stop Details

    • Confirm:

      • Customer name and address.

      • Loading dock or door if listed.

      • Shipment details (pieces, pallets, etc.).

      • Any special instructions.

  3. Perform Required Actions

    • Tap Start Unloading / Start Loading when you begin.

    • Follow any shipment workflows, such as:

      • Confirm delivered quantities.

      • Scan required barcodes.

      • Select Delivered – No Issues or the appropriate status.

  4. Capture Proof of Delivery (if required)

    • Collect signatures, photos, or other evidence (see next article).

    • Confirm all required fields show as completed in the app.

  5. Add Notes or Exceptions

    • If there are issues (damages, refused shipments, etc.), add the appropriate exception codes and notes.

  6. Complete the Stop

    • Once all required tasks are done, tap Complete Stop.

    • Confirm that the stop moves to completed and your Next Stop is updated.

  • Complete tasks in real time while at the stop, not later.

  • Double‑check counts and statuses before tapping Complete Stop.

  • Use clear, professional language in any customer‑visible notes.
