Associating the driver with the correct vehicle and VDA

Overview

This article outlines how a driver connects the Maven Driver App to the correct truck so vehicle movement and HOS data are captured accurately.

Prerequisites

  • Driver successfully signed in to the Maven Driver App.

  • Vehicle and VDA (Vehicle Data Adapter) configured in the Maven Fleet Portal.

Steps: Initial Truck Connection

  1. From the Maven Driver App home screen, open the vehicle selection or truck connection area.

  2. Select the assigned vehicle from the list of available trucks.

  3. Wait for the app to complete the connection:

    • The app attempts to connect to the vehicle’s VDA (if installed).

    • Status indicators in the app show when the connection is successful.

  4. Confirm that the vehicle shown in the app matches the actual truck being driven.
