Create a DVIR in the mobile app

Overview

A Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) confirms that a vehicle is safe to operate. Drivers complete DVIRs directly in the Maven app using an Android device.

Before starting a DVIR

Confirm the following:

• The device’s Bluetooth is on.

• The Maven app is connected to the truck.

• HOS duty status is On Duty.

Step 1: Set status to On Duty

1. Tap the HOS button (status icon) in the app.

2. Change status to On Duty.

3. Tap Save.

4. Remain On Duty for at least 15 minutes to complete the inspection.

Step 2: Open the DVIR section

1. From the home screen, tap the DVIR button

2. Review the list of inspection reports from the past 8 days.

Step 3: Add a new DVIR

1. Tap Add report.

2. Select the type of report (for example, pre-trip or post-trip).

3. Enter any trailer numbers.

4. Add any defects found during the inspection.

5. Tap Submit (top-right).

Step 4: Complete and sign the report

1. Indicate whether the vehicle is Safe or Not safe to drive.

2. Tap Sign inspection report to complete and sign.
