Editing routes while they are in progress
Adjust active routes without rebuilding the plan
overview
Conditions change during the day. Maven Dispatch allows edits on active routes so Dispatch can add, remove, or move stops and resequence remaining work without rebuilding the entire plan.
Add a stop to an active route
-
Identify the shipment or stop that needs coverage.
-
Open the target route on Plan & Dispatch.
-
Add the shipment as a new stop on the route (drag and drop or use the add‑stop action, depending on configuration).
-
Save the route and confirm the new stop appears in the stop list and on the driver’s device.
Remove a stop from a route
-
Open the active route and locate the stop that should be removed.
-
Use the Remove or Unassign action for that stop.
-
Confirm the stop either becomes unassigned or moves into the configured holding bucket for later planning.
Resequence remaining stops
-
Open the stop list on the active route.
-
Drag stops into the new order or use sequence controls, depending on UI options.
-
Save the new sequence and check updated ETAs if the system displays them.
-
Confirm the driver’s device reflects the updated order.
Use in‑progress edits for targeted operational changes—such as one or two stops—while leaving larger structural changes to Route Planning.
