Resolving a 401 Unauthorized Error in the Mobile App

Restore authentication when the app loses connection to Maven servers

Issue summary

A 401 Unauthorized message means the Maven app on the device has lost authentication with Maven servers and must be re-authenticated.


Step 1: Log out and log back in

  1. Open the Maven app.

  2. Log out.

  3. Log back in with valid credentials.

If the error returns, continue to Step 2.


Step 2: Clear app data

  1. Open device Settings.

  2. Go to Apps (or Applications) → Maven Machines → Storage.

  3. Tap Clear data.

  4. Confirm by tapping Delete or OK.

  5. Reopen the Maven app and log in again.
