Trip workflow in the mobile app

Start, manage, and complete trips with multiple stops

Overview

In the mobile app, a trip includes all pickups, deliveries, and destinations associated with a single trailer. Each trip may contain multiple stops. Drivers must complete all required forms at each stop before the trip can be finished.


Trips and stops

  • A trip contains:

    • All planned pickups and deliveries for a trailer.

    • One or more stops in a defined sequence.

  • At each stop, drivers:

    • Arrive and start the stop.

    • Complete required forms and fields.

    • Depart the stop when work is finished.

Only one trip and one stop can be active at a time in the app. Trips cannot be completed until all required stop forms are filled out.


Trip dashboard

On the trip dashboard screen:

  • Drivers see all available trips.

  • Each trip has a Start trip button when it is ready.

  • After a trip is started:

    • That trip becomes the active trip.

    • Other trips are typically disabled until the active trip is completed or ended, depending on configuration.


Manage stops within a trip

For each stop on the active trip:

  1. Review the stop card or row for:

    • Customer/location information.

    • Scheduled time or sequence.

  2. Tap Arrive stop when reaching the location.

  3. Complete all required fields on the stop form, which may include:

    • Quantities or delivery details.

    • Exceptions or notes.

    • A Bill of lading (BOL) photo or other required images.

    • Signatures or completion codes, as configured.

  4. Tap Depart stop after finishing all work and completing forms.

If the stop is the final one:

  • A Complete trip button appears after the last stop is departed and all required information is entered.


Complete the trip

To successfully complete a trip:

  1. Ensure all stops in the trip have:

    • Been arrived and departed.

    • All required forms and fields completed.

  2. Tap Complete trip when the final stop is finished.

  3. Confirm completion if prompted.

If the Complete trip button does not appear:

  • Check for incomplete forms or unanswered required fields at previous stops.

  • Review each stop and ensure all sections are fully submitted.
