Use HOS in the mobile app

Overview

The Hours-of-Service (HOS) section in the Maven Driver App shows available hours, recent logs, and required actions. Drivers access HOS via the clock icon at the bottom center of the screen.

HOS timers overview

From the HOS tab:

• Break – Time remaining before a required break or remaining break time.

• Drive – Driving hours left today.

• Shift – Total shift time remaining for the day.

• Cycle – Time remaining in the multi-day cycle (for example, 8-day / 70-hour cycle).

Timer resets (standard FMCSA configuration):

• Drive/shift reset after 10+ hours Off Duty.

• Cycle resets after 34+ consecutive hours Off Duty.

Logs tab

Access recent logs:

1. From the HOS screen, open the Logs tab.

2. Scroll to view logs from the past 14 days.

3. Tap a date to:

   • View log details.

   • Review events and notes.

   • Add or request changes, depending on configuration.

Action items tab

The Action items tab shows HOS tasks that require attention:

• Uncertified logs.

• Pending admin edits that need driver review and approval.

To resolve items:

1. Tap the Action items tab.

2. Select a date that requires certification or review.

3. Review the log details and changes.

4. Tap Certify logs (or equivalent) to approve.

Keeping action items clear and logs certified helps maintain compliance during inspections.
