What this product does

Maven Dispatch is the operational control center for planning, assigning, dispatching, and managing pickup & delivery (P&D) work in real time.

It turns orders or stops into routes, assigns drivers and vehicles, sends work to the Maven Driver App, and gives dispatchers live visibility to manage changes and exceptions throughout the day.

Who uses it

• Dispatchers – assign routes, manage changes, handle exceptions

• Planners / terminal ops teams – build and adjust daily work

• Operations managers – monitor execution, productivity, and issues

Where it fits in the workflow

1. Work (orders or stops) is ingested from upstream systems

2. Dispatchers and planners:

   1. Build or review routes

   2. Assign drivers and vehicles

3. Routes are dispatched to drivers via the Maven Driver App

4. Throughout the day:

   1. Drivers execute routes and report status

   2. Dispatchers monitor progress and manage exceptions

5. Completion and status data flows back into Dispatch for visibility and reporting

Key concepts & terminology 

• Order / Stop – an individual pickup or delivery task

• Route – a sequence of stops assigned to a driver and vehicle

• Dispatch – sending routes to drivers and managing them during execution

• Optimization – creating efficient routes using rules and constraints

• Exception – any deviation from the planned route or schedule

What this product does NOT do

• Provide the driver’s in-cab workflow → that is the Maven Driver App

• Act as a full TMS for rating, billing, or order lifecycle management

• Serve as an ELD or HOS compliance system → that is Maven ELD

• Replace dock-level load/unload workflows → that is Maven Dock

• Perform automated inbound optimization → that is Maven Inbound
